max resolution of 1400x900, and reset what looks good to your eyes.

Use Displaymate tool to adjust brightness and contrast to the level that suites your eyes.

Note: Don't change resolution and DPI. They should be set to native values.

I didn't change font size too for Vista. I am used to small size, thanks to my thinkpad that has a 14" display with 1400x1050 resolution.

^i changed the dpi settings frm 96 to 120,any harm doing that?

from where u got the monitor? from dell.co.in or from some dealers? i am also planning to take the same. pointers to some dealers in bangalore will be highly appreciated.

interestingly I had gone to SP road, I was told price for Dell E228WFP as 14000+4% VAT
Dell 2208WFP as 16000+4%VAT.

That sums up less than Dell's shipping from the online quoted price from Dell site.
