This is my first thread in thinkdigit forum..
I am facing a strange problem since I have installed windows 8 pro.
Here is the problem..

1. I switch on the power from the wall socket.
2. I press the power button on my cabinet.
3. LED lights up and fans start rotating then beep sound comes(just as usual)
4. then after that whole computer just suddenly shuts down.
5 then I press the power button on the cabinet again and now everything will go fine,
6. computer start normally,
7. I get a warning message that "Your computer was shut down unexpectedly , send report to microsoft or cancel."
8. from now on I can restart as many times as I want, everything will run fine.

If I switch off the power from the wall socket and switch it on again then this will happen.
so I face this problem everyday once.
PC just turns of just like that once everyday at the time of startup. :-(

And this all started after I installed windows 8 pro.
I have tried installing windows 8 pro from the same disc in my other system and it runs fine in it.

My config:
AMD Phenom II X4 940 BE
XFX HD 6850
MSI K9A2GM-F1H
CORSAIR VX450
2+2= 4GB DDR2 KINGSTON RAM 800Mhz
500 GB HITACHI SATA HDD
80GB IDE

kARTechnology

Sony " VA" "IO"
Immediately check your hdd, my hdd failed after installing windows 8, if yours is segate, I'd recommend you running SEATOOLS DOS from a CD..
Tomorrow when powering on, check if you get some noise from hdd like spinning up / down when the PC reboots
