Hi all,

I am having intel 865GBF motherboard, 256B DDR and using WinXP..
Now the strange problem is.....my system restarts all of a sudden when working especially when i play CS-CZ. But this problem does not occur always....I bought this motherboard when it came first in india....So my vedor said their maybe some bios settings in motherboard....

After restarting it gives error as

"System has ovvercome from serious error".

When working on graphical applications....all of a sudden it hangs or restarts...when restarting sometimes a blue screen with huge message is dispalyed ....some lines say that

"if this problem persists try to change the graphical adapter settings..."

Please help me to overcome this problem.....

I think we should create a new thread for solutions to general system instability and make it sticky. What say, guys?

@Vikram: Visit this thread and check out the possible solutions I gave. I've copied it for ur reference:

Unstable system. There could be many reasons for this.

1- Check your ram using memtest86
2- Make sure your SMPS meets the PC's power requirements. Visit this page
3- Run a virus scan using your fav. anti-virus. Here is an online one.
4- Check for spyware using SpyBot S&D.
5- Make sure you are running a firewall. Zonealarm is recommended.

Apart from those suggestions, try reinstalling your graphics card drivers (first uninstall them completely and then reinstall).

download all the latest drivers for all components. also update to win xp sp2. and update ur bios too. i suggest a complete format and reinstall with all the latest drivers and sp2. (it may not be required but it will be good and clean)
