Whenever I start my PC Windows start-up inconvenience message had been appeared. When I continue by choosing 'Windows Start normally' mode, I have to wait for about 1-2 minutes to open the Drives. Windows start-up sound wasloaded after 2 minutes. Until the sound is loaded, the system is too slow. When the sound is loaded the system goes fine. How can this happen? Is windows problem or hardware problem? Please help! My system is as under : Intel Core2 Dou; E4500@2.20GHz; IGB of RAM; Windows XP with SP3.

Hlua (Vanlalhlua or Rohlupuia or .....??? :) ), it could be a driver problem as suggested by ravi. But there are many other things that could cause those symptoms. At the moment, we have too little information to go on with. Sometimes these things have to be narrowed down step by step.

It's possible that we're from the same town. If you'd like to make personal contact, send me a PM with some info about yourself such as your location, etc. I don't want to make my identity public.

Besides updating the drivers and other things suggested above, defrag the HDD. Also post the content of the startup entries (try msconfig from run menu).

Remove unwanted programs from start up and update the drivers.
This shud do the trick. If the problem still persists, try to format and re-install OS (if not a problem)
