soundcard not supported

i installed fedora core 1 on my pc,but now it says that my soundcard is not supported .my motherboard is intel 865gvhz,with on board soundcard AC'97.sound works fine on windows XP on the same pc&it also worked fine for red hat 9.0.
need help. thanx in advance.

If I'm not wrong there is a driver in Intel's web site download it.

The trick is to reinstall alsa and the sound card will work. Remember to install alsa lib alsa server alsa client alsa tools also note that the volume are muted by default so you have to enable them by using the mixer or alsamixer.
