I purchased a Creative X-FI XTERME GAMER soundcard few days ago and installed in my PC using Windows XP SP 2 OS. My card is absolutely identical with pictures I seen on the internet including Creative's homepage.But Windows is detecting my card as Creative SB X-Fi in divice maneger and by selcting its propeties it shows audio device as Creative X-Fi Audio Processor (WDM). Is it normal ?
In control panel an icon appeared named Audio Console and by selcting it another box appears named Audio control panel whitch shows
selected device : SB X-Fi [EC00]
And by selcting its Device imformation tab it shows
Wave device : SB X-Fi audio [EC00]
MIDI Device : SB X-Fi Synth A [EC00]
Mixer Device : SB X-Fi Mixer [EC00]
I updated card's drivers from creative's costmer support site but nothing changed.
What should I do ?
Or tell me if everything is normal.
