Sony Announces The S1 and S2 Tablets

The S1 sports a 9.1-inch screen with the tablet being of an “off-center” shape making it easier to hold. The tablet also features dual cameras - one at the front and one at the back along with a Tegra 2 SoC (System on Chip) which can enable HD content playback. Other features of the S1 include an IR port for AV controls and DLNA support.

The Sony S2 is a one of a kind tablet with its foldable design and has a dual 5.5-inch screen with 1024 x 480 pixel displays. This tablet as well features Tegra 2 SoC and a camera. An interesting aspect of the S2 is that both screens can be used independently by viewing video games on one screen and showing control buttons on the other.

S2 is something to look out for. Nothing exciting about the S1, there is one releasing every week.

It is far away, close to Q4 2011 or at best late Q3 2011.

Also, the wifi only version of S1 will cost $599. So it is definitely mass tablet!

According to tech2..the S1 and S2 will be priced at around 28k and 32k respectively...not sure about the wifi version

yup S2 looks fresh ...I think Sony is prepairing to make is a gaming device too like the Nintendo or some company have,,,the dual screen one..

28k is for wifi s1 afaik if i am to believe the quote. 3g if at all might take too long to come and will probably be priced around 35k+- assuming your pricing

however, the initial pricing was $500 and 28k must have been for that. add another 20% now for new pricing
