Sony last night unveiled a 24-inch (1920x1080) 3D display that it plans to launch later in the year. Measuring in at 35mm thick, this monitor packs stereo 2ch+subwoofer speakers, a 176-degree viewing angle, and allows two gamers playing on multiplayer to see individual, unique, full-screen images. Sony also claims the monitor is the first of its size to incorporate "quad speed frame sequential display technology.

A great 3d display with some really innovating features. Read on to know more.

3D Glasses :-D boooooom....!!

3D will only be successful if the glass disappear in thin air. i.e 3D without glass!

^Totally agree.
IMO till those glasses exists 3D should be totally avoided irrespective of others features the monitors/TV offers!

If it was affordable I wouldnt mind the glasses. :)

The best part is the 2 player feature where both of them see different screens in 2D instead of a split screen.

Also in news is:
A new bluetooth headset with virtual 7.1 coming in a few months @ 100$

The PS3 branded speakers have gone into thin air

499$? Looks cheap compared to others, specially for the tech, might buy one if it supports normal 3d(via nvidia gtx580)

Its a 23 incher. So not really optimal size for console gaming.
No problem bro, I'm using a 22" monitor atm, and I am very comfortable with it, 23" will be perfect for me, one thing though, I hate 16:9, that's why I am using 16:10, 16:9 is too wide for me, 1920x1200 is the resolution I aim for, any 3d monitor with that resolution available?

No idea at all. Considering the diversity of resolutions and form factors in monitors its really difficult to fine one with all the right stuff.

And thats a HDTV up there not a monitor.

Take a look at the Alienware OptX 23" Big hole in the pocket at 25k though. There are many others which I do not know of :-?

Ya u should get one for yourself!

Btw IMO , let the 3d market mature some more. It is in its starting stage at this time. say in another 6 months 3D without glasses in India will be offered I guess (Samsung already showed 3D TV without glasses in LA this year.).

So, wait for sometime dude!

3D with glasses= Headache after 2-3hours

3D w/o glasses= Dizzying effects (&vertigo) after 5mins

3D w/o glasses sucks. But the glasses themselves suck too. But if you love 3D go the glasses way for now.

It's sony guys. it's meant to be pricey than the rest. and rest assured other companies like SAMSUNG and LG would be buckling up with their 3D lineup. if not, than following soon.

^^^ You seriouslty suffer from that. If memory serves me right then even Jonny Depp is stereoblind(is this a legitimate term) too.

Bravias are good. More so you can shout aloud I have a bravia.

Even if a similar panel is sold by say Koryo or Huaweii etc we will still pay the premium for Bravia. After all man is a social animal. We need something to brag about.
