Some DVDs don't run!

Hey People whats up? I have a wierd problem, I have a DVD combo drive in my Toshiba Satellite A-20 Notebook computer. I have PowerDVD, WinDVD6 Platinum and Windows Media Player 10 insatalled and running on a copy of WINXP Pro SP2. Most DVDs run fine, however, some dont. When I put them in my home player they run fine, but refuse to work on the laptop. Aren't all Video DVDs written in the DVD+ format? I have a DVD+ Rom but they still don't work. I''m desparate!! Please help!

Hello ...and we are fine . thanks for the enquiry and Merry Christmas.
Some Cd combo or Dvd Combo have inherit problem of reading some peculiar brands . My Laptop Refuses MoserBaer and Some Princo Cd and DVD . Anyway Solved it by upgrading the Firmware or the drive.
Please try upgrading the firmware and will help you a lot,
