hi
i've been facing slow speed in m(mue)torrent, earlier it was fine, but its been 3 days that i'm getting slow speed not more than 6KB..
can anyone plz help me with this
i want to set the default configuration

thanks in advance

Speeds depend upon whether your ISP has blocked p2p or not. In college we get 2mbps on http but p2p is blocked so we hardly get 3kbps :) . Broadband connections are good for torrent downloads.
Speed also depend upon the health of the torrent. The no. of seeds and peers alter your download speeds. make sure you have proper no. of seeds and peers (especially not 0/0) if you are downloading some torrent. 0/0 means torrent is probably dead. Speeds might get lowered if you have done some changes in the uTorrent settings. Check them proeprly. Speeds can be restricted by going to Torrent properties. I use Flashget for downloads and its real fast. You may try that also.
Well if you want to know more about seeds & peers, there is a thread regarding this here .

Which format is the DVD in? If it's avi/mkv/wmv, etc., you can try using Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center. Even though there are lots of better players which support much more formats, I have found that Windows Media Player / Center are the only players which are able to play incomplete videos (although not always).

If they are archived in rar or zip, you can try extracting it using 7-zip. It will extract the video to the extent it is able to. Winrar won't do the job, because it only works when the archive is complete and without errors.

You can, but it's not recommended. Bittorrent is a peer to peer protocol, which means files are not hosted on a central server, but they are distributed by using the bandwidth of the peers; you are also a peer if you are downloading using bittorrent. If everyone starts to throttle their upload speed, no one will be able to download. If you can spare the bandwidth, don't limit the uploading speed.

Google torrent guides and you will get what you want.
1) all movie torrents come with a "sample" small file ( a video clip that shows the quality, language and subtitles of the movie)Download the torrent in correct order and after 10% download you will be able to see the whole preview that will give you full glimpse of the actual movie. However i guess bitcomet has that facility to preview partly downloaded files. I download from QBittorrent client in ubuntu as it is the OS is prefer over windows and it gives me preview facility. I think its also available for windows.
2)click Download properties and navigate and you will see an option to limit your download and upload. Set upload speed to 0-1kbps :) but its good to upload coz your yourself are uploading that file file for you and others as well. That adds up to the health of torrent. Most clients have a universal setting of download and upload speed restriction. You may set that also. Its been a long tym since i have used uTorrent/bittorrent so cant tell you exactly.

firstly, μTorrent is referred to as uTorrent & not m torrent.
Which connection are you using?
although it is possible to stop uploading, that would reduce download speeds too (not always though)try to keep your upload speed at atleast 20% of your bandwidth available.
If your download speed has gone down considerably, check if you have accidentally limited it. Go to preferences>bandwidth
