I have encrypted my wifi network using WPA-Mixed mode encryption. My password consists of alphabets and number currently. After I made it more complicated (added 2 special characters), the time taken to connect to the wifi network increased, and sometimes it gave errors too...saying Windows could not connect. Also, the encryption changed automatically from WPA2 to WPA. Why is this so? 
Also I have seen, if I disable encryption, then Windows connect to the network in an instant which is not so if there is security enabled. Can anybody throw some light on this?
