Slow 3g internet thru mobile modem in Laptop or pc

Hi,

I am using BSNL 3g , as per i informed that it gives up-to 2 mbits speed thru 3g dongle in my area

I have 3 3g Phones
1 nokia
2. samsung hero 3213
3. zen mobile india A60

In all mobile i get only 148Kbits or 15 Kb max speed no matter i m using bluetooth or wired connection speed do not boost more then this,

old Nokia support 384 kbps ,so no compliant about it but
as per samsung & Zen they support HSDPA 3.6Mbps , so why i get slow speed,

I notice the speed in atleast 4 cities no speed boost even on capital cities.

so is this phone problem or any thing else ?

if i try speed test thru opera mini in mobile it show 2 to 6 mpbs speed in mobile, but if i try to download some big file in mobile itself it do not give that speed

Either 3G is not enabled on your SIM or your phones.

Hi,

in 1 Sim 3G is activated

2nd one is completely 3G sim

video call work well in both sims


if 3 g is not enabled on phone then it give only 2-5 kb speed,

I can see G logo on all my phones when i use net.

using bsnlnet as apn

BTW which 3G plan are you using ?

Your Nokia phones will show a 3g logo not a G logo. Even in my N73 GPRS and 3g have separate/distinct symbols.

Nokia show 3g , zen shows 3g , samsung shows 3g

i purchased new 3g sim after 5 days its speed drops like others before that it gives me 450 kbitsps speed.

so is it bsnl doing something ?

Please do a speed test from your desktop browser @ speedtest.net for us to know your speed clearly. And also dont forget to post the results

These are not 3g speeds. Looks like the speed is significantly getting reduced in your desktop. You are using through USB? Are you virus infected or anything?

this is not 3G. i too can turn on 3.5G on my mobile using a 2G sim. but i get speed of less than 5kbps.

inform bsnl about it.

Bluetooth cannot accomodate such 3g speed. But USB should. Contact your operator.

speedtest show result on average based , i found that speed get down after download progress to 60 %,

however i find that upload & download is good in cable about 5% , i saw it on netmeter .

max upload speed i found is 585Kbps & download is 492Kbps
