hey i have a problem . my computer does not shut down while the all the other devices becomes off but the cpu does not turn off and suddenly sometimes the running computer restarts without any message.
And Also sometimes while playing fifa08 the game starts to run very fastly and again comes down to the normal speed .
please help

and yes it sometimes hangs during detecting idedrives and restarts when the windows is booting.
and how to clean ram

clean with a soft brush or soft eraser... or call any technician/knowledgeable friend

You need to check the power options in the BIOS Power Mangement screen
