shut down problem help!!

hi my windows xp takes a lot of time to shutdown .long time back i had used some window to adjust the time of shut down but now i dont remember how i did that . is there any way to make windows xp to shut down faster? my system is athlon 1400mhz 128mb sd ram with mc afee antivirus v8.0.please send in your suggestions .

And Also Try To Download all The Windows Update Patches and Shutdown Patches To Improve Ur Shutdown Performance......Cause Improper Shutdowns Later Cause Problems In The System Restore facility As Well....So Play It Safe

y dont u try going in for a surface scan??? maybe that'll help by fixing out all the errors (if any)
