shud go 4 c++ or java ,vb ??????

guys im around a big problem now!!!!

after a month my collg is having its annual fest in which varoius dance & software & other competions r held.

this year i want to participate so im little bit confused which language to use java or vb.net but i dont know both whereas i know c++ but frnds say graphical interface in vb is good to do.

now wat i do????

shud go 4 c++ or java ,vb ?????? how can i learn java or vb in just a month with a good project to display ????
pls help ...
i want to do anything if im going to win & i just want to be.

If u are a pro in C++ and are fluent in it, better stick to it coz 1 month tho nearby sufficient for VB, will not be nough for a quality product Also its heavy on the sys whereas c++ is damn light, so mite be more points

Even if u've got more than a month, I would not recommend java. It's getting cold. VB.NET is more preferred than java. You can do complex programs with ease with the .net framework. Plus, you can easily learn c# after vb.net. After this project gets over, you can learn c+ and then java.
But be informed that most symposiums will have "sofware debugging" event which will strictly be c++ and java. If u are doing project in vb.net, you cannot participate in them.

PS: You say your college is hosting? Then, afaik, you the host cannot participate. Atleast it was so in my college. Confirm it.

THANKS GUYS but unable to makeup mind bcoz of different suggestions !!!

after 15 days next sem i.e. 4th sem is going to start in which java is in my curriculum .so which1 to go ????

in my collg various debugging competions r held in c++ & java .so if im going to learn for c++ or java then im going to prepare for more than 2 competions ,but which1 to choose java or c++ for a good & wining software ???

well sirius u r right ,so i think vb i'll learn in summer vacation & now stick to c++ or java .

how'll b about java , if i try hard then i'll going to gain marks also !!!
im starting java .
but can anybody tell how to master java ??? im starting java .
