Seriously considering system upgrade now (AAA gaming/video editing) 60-70k

I don't get it, now AAA kind of games are using more than 4 cores? I thought Intel were still in the game because their CPUs were faster than AMD in single core performance which basically benefits the game performance.

I am sorry this thread is continuing in different direction. But please clarify my above doubt.
Yes. Now AAA games are using more than 4 cores.

Infact, i5-6600K (4C4T) to i7-7700K (4C8T) is a pretty decent bump in performance because i5-6600K bottlenecks a GPU like GTX 1070, even when overclocked. Again, the problem is not the average FPS, but the stutters i5-6600K can have.

When AMD launched 6C12T Ryzen 5s, Intel also had to increase their core count and suddenly AAA games had a new minimum baseline.

Also, AMD now has better single-threaded performance than Intel at a clock deficit. Though this might change when Intel released 11th gen.

i5-6600K may beat the earlier 6C12T Ryzen 5s, but it doesn’t beat Ryzen 5 3000 and Ryzen 5 5000.

In CPU intensive games, R5 1600 has much better 1% low fps than i5 7600K, although i5 has better avg fps in most games.

This is how bad my i5 6600 is bottlenecking the graphics card:

CPU and GPU usage graph while driving around in CyberPunk for 5 minutes. The below line is GC card which hardly goes > 90%!
So these are my final thoughts:

1. Will buy 5600x
2. Will go for MSI B550 Gaming Edge motherboard (checked reviews and it performs the best with max. features at this price point)
3. Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh Cabinet

Will keep using existing 16GB DDR4 2400MHz memory and CX550w PSU until I upgrade my 1060 GTX 6GB card (5-6 months from now).

So, I ordered Ryzen 5600x and MSI B550 Gaming Edge motherboard online and got a surprise. Instead of the motherboard I ordered, they sent me MSI B550 Gaming Carbon Wifi! With the correct bill too (and incorrect price)
I've installed both of these in my system and successfully overclocked my existing 16GB RAM sticks from 2400MHz to 2733MHz without any issues. Compared to my previous i5 6600, the performance is blazing fast!
Will share more of my thoughts and post pics after using the system for few days.

Thanks!

Could someone please route me to a thread OR recommend me a good PSU for my system? My updated system spec are in my signature. I am thinking to go for a fully/semi modular PSU and my existing PSU will go in my father's PC.
I guess a 650w PSU would suffice my needs. How is Gigabyte GM750w gold plus? My budget is around 7k but I can stretch a bit.

Antec HCG 750W Gold is 7.5k with some sellers, a good PSU with sufficient headroom for future GPUs, even OC'd RTX 3080.
