My internet does not work even if the dialup connection is connected, how wud i solve dis prb??
It says page cannot be found in IE and opera too.
PLEASE HELP, ITS URGENT

what site were u trying to open..May be the site's down or if ur using a anonymous proxy,the proxy could have been down.

do u haev installed any games containing Dot net??

coz i was also having the same problem and after unistalling the dot net using add remove programs my internet worked

everytime i install dot net then my internet doesn't works

so try uninstalling it

Do u have any firewall installed? Sometimes engine may be working in backgroung blocking programs. A quick way is to take a look at the connection icon. Double click on it see any packets are transferred.
If there is no transfer of packets then most probably some program may be blocking it silently. Disabling or uninstalling program may help. If u have firewall check whether port 80 is blocked. If yes then open port 80(TCP port). Also allow programs to access net.If u don't have any firewall try this. Go to comand prompt or dos prompt type ping <url> ie, for example www.thinkdigit.com and see any packets r received. If yes, your net connection is working and it may be problem relating to your IE or Opera .Try re installing it.

Try scanning ur pc with adaware,spy sweeper etc
If they detect anything called .net Dont take any action!
Then goto c:\windows or c:\windows\system or
c:\windows\system32
Coz their this spyware has installed another Net restorin application

i forgot the name but i think it was like .netrestore.exe
or .netuninstall try investigate urself and uninstall it!
Afterwards remove the spyware detected by adaware and spysweeper, restart..shud work then!

If things doesnt work flush ur DNS thing and repair!
