Seagate 1TB SATA III Query

I purchased a new Rig 3 Months ago with Configurations:

Core i5 2400
DH67BL

My HDD model is Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS SATA 6Gbps

When the HDD performs any Write/Read operation a Scratching sound is heard and it also gives a little jerk to the Cabinet.

Also Write speeds vary from 90-110 Mbps. Is this what SATA III can only offer?

So is this a Normal issue? Or should i replace the HDD?

Waiting for Reply
Thanks in Advance!

Yes scratching sound is normal on many fast drives. I hear same on all my wd black drives and raptor one. But if it is anything othere than scratching sound like small or big clicking sound, then you must call your computer h/w engineer or take it back to seagate service center(dont forget to backup your data). Your speed is also normal as a sata 3 drive. Also regarding sound if your cabby is not completely close/sealed and your cabby dont have ruber base on hdd try or you directly screw your drives to your cabby then you may hear sound more than a properly closed system with ruber base hdd trys which mostly absorbs the vibrations that produced by your hdd operations.
