SATA Drive Help!!!

Right off the assembly line
I have A MSI K8M Neo-V Mobo and I recently brought seagate Barracuda SATA 160 GB HDD...
When I tried to install Win XP it Didn't Detect the HDD...
The HDD is also NOt detected in WindowsXP SP2 that is installed in My Older Drive....
Please help!!!

during intallation press F6 for third party driver
coz xp dont ve sata driver inbuilt
u got a floppy with sata hdd
when it ask for third party driver
press S and then insert flopy
now system copies the required file and detect ur hdd
now u r ready to go

detection of sata depends on ur bios too..
btw did u get a proper power cable..
coz wen i purchased a sata.. i got a faulty cable..
so check if ur sata disk is running wen ur pc is on..(touch n c for some kinda vibrations)

Thats is for setting up RAID my friend:)

I dont know why people are suggesting RAID. The HDD should be detected by PC. Check Cables is my suggestion and also check if it shows in BIOS :)
