Sapphire hd5770+FSP SagaII 350w

guys,i need your advice on this gpu+psu upgrade

my cousin bro is also planning to upgrade his gpu with a hd5770 along with a fsp saga ll 350w psu.

his pc config is:
Core2Duo e7500,
2gb ddr2,
asus p5qpl-am,
intex 450w,
20"LG monitor.

please tell me whether this power supply is enough or he needs to change to a better one for this card.

Ask him to go for FSP SAGAII 500W for just 500 bucks more. Its much safer. IMO 5770 on a 350W PSU is not a good decision.

okay guys,

plan changed for the psu.
but if the fsp saga ll 500w is not available how about this alternative

TheITWares - One Stop for all Gizmos!Gigabyte 460W Superb Power Supply - TheITWares

budget for the psu is 2500k.

Its not an alternative at all. Its the OEM for FSP SAGAII 400W.
Its even costlier than FSP 500W. So, better go with SAGAII 500W else 400W for 1.8k. Why should u spend more 0.7k for the same product with just a different brand name.

BTW what is 2500k. U mean 2500*1000 = Rs.2500,000.
Its just 2.5k i.e 2.5*1000 i.e Rs.2500.

There is probably nothing cheaper and good quality and better vfm than these Fsp psu's.

If you really have hard time finding these, I reccomend you to look for Vip 500w. Its also should be similarly priced.

okay thanks to everyone for the help.

last ques::lol:
will the fsp sagall 500w be able to handle cards greater than the hd5770 for future upgrade?:?:

Yeah, as long as you will buy the 500w psu. You will be able to add a graphic card ie replace the card not dual gpu.

But for sli/crossfire I reccomend 600w psu.
