And you thought your 1080p TV is great!

Such TVs are rarely useful in India. To start off with, any video thats less than 2160p will look bad on it. And to get 2160p videos, god knows where you have to look. And imagine storing them.

If you watch the standard cable TV, or even Tata Sky or DVD-DL movies, the video will look like there are many squares all over the screen whose colours change continuously.

So while this TV is good sounding, practically its hardly anything.

Bond, Desi Bond!
This is just to show off their technology and nothing much. 1080p Bluray movie is 25gig in size. And it hasn't yet become mainstream. If at all, 2160p movies will come in the year 2160 :)

They aren't gonna be useful anywhere on earth for at least a decade ( for homes),possibly even 2 decades in India.Have a doubt if u watch Tata Sky from a sufficiently long distance, u wont see any squares na ( 40 m? ). When will 1080 p truly arrive in India. Right now , the 1080 p costs a fortune. 1080 i seems a viable option ,though.

U r right, it is just to show off their potential not for consumer use.
