I have some videos lying around in the computer in the real media format which have small resolution (Something like 300:200, not exact).

If these videos are watched in 17" or 19" VDUs then the picture's quality deteriorates and video appears to be made up of square boxes . So I wish to convert them in bigger resolution and increase the sound quality and all.

Now if I convert the vids into a resolution of say 640:480 then it might become better viewable in 19" (This is what I think, correct me if I am wrong). So is it possible to convert a video of lower resolution to one of higher resolution without losing the quality?
