Restoring Norton Antivirus updates from previous version

I'm using Norton Antivirus 2004 and latest updates are already there in the system. But i'm now in possession of Norton Antivirus 2005. I would like to install the same and don't want to waste time by downloading latest virus updates. How to go about it??? How can i back up my updates which are already available in the system?

Older definitions will work with the new 2005 version.

To backup definitions file, simply:
Go to
C:\Program Files\Common files\Symantec

Go to virusdef folder and back up files there. LAter, restore them in the same place on format or reinstall.
