hi
i have hpnx5000 labtop and it runs with xp, sp2.
just few days ago i got a little problem ,
when i logon the system it says"REGISTRY EDITING HAS BEEN DISABLE BY THE ADMINISTRATOR" .and then it restarts .Even i formatted but same problem shows.

help me out

can u explain more...??
It seems to me that u have formatted the partition on which xp was installed and re-installed winxp, but the problem remains...rite ??

you have got some virus.....update your antivirus and than do full system scan in safe mode.Must turn off system restore before scaning.

hi ravi
i formated my labtop and again installed winxp.
the problem is ...........it restarts automatically showing one message.
that is "registry editing has been disabled by the administrator."
when i clik "ok" then it suddenly restarts , even it doesnot let me work for a while on that labtop.

Boot your system into safe mode and scan for virus's and trojans.

Also update your windows from microsoft website.

Also repair your windows registry using some registry software.Some good and free registry fixer software can be found here:

Also do this:
start-->>right click my computer-->>properties-->>advance-->>startup and recovery setting-->>turn off automatic restart
