reliable dvd player

my sony dvd dvp sr 750 brought 2 years ago conked off-my little children might have fingered it-the sony service centre now tells me that its beyond service cover and has asked me to sent them the ooriginal bill where they are ready to give me 30 % discount on purchase of another new dvd player model after the sony company approves of the same -in return they will pocket my old irrepairable dvd player.whats all this crap about-sony it seems is a let down.please suggest me any other good and reliable dvd player which can work with my samsung 36 inch led and the yamaha 196 hometheatre which i intend to buy(this is the only sony product i have).
