Regarding buying AMD 64 bit processor

hai everybody,
I have planned to buy 64 bit processor for my own use.I would like to confirm that the processor doesnt have any pb regarding any software i install(ie oracle,VS 2005 beta,java etc..)i will install xp professional (32 bit) and linux.

i planned to buy amd 64 (3200+) with asrock combo drive

please help or suggest(i'm not a gamer,i will purely use it for my career and development in prog languages)

Walking, since 2004.
as regards linux, you get 64-bit versions of all distros.. also m$ will release the retail version of its 64-bit OS .. around august-september....

so i guess frm the OS point of view.. u won't face any problems...

if you compare a prescot with an AMD Processor then first of all look at the price to performence ratio !!!

hey go intel if u are not into gaming.coz some months back a digit carried a article about the budget cpu and mobo and they suggested intel for non gaming purpose
