Hiii ...

I had posted earlier requesting information about a new laptop.
Finally, I have decided to purchase Dell Studio 15 after configuring it.

My query here is about the hard disc I should go for.
In the configuration, I have 3 options:
1> 320GB SATA Hard Drive
2> 320GB SATA 7200RPM Performance Hard Drive
3> 500GB SATA Hard Drive

The processor I've chosen is: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.40GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 3MB Cache).

Now, I am inclined towards the 500GB hard disc. But, then I also think that the 320GB SATA 7200rmp would perform better than it.

So, what so you guys recommend???

go for the higher capacity dude unless u are really keen on performance ... maybe the loading time in games will reduce slightly (depending on game) , but the effect of faster harddisc will not be very noticeable for general useage ...

i wud go for the 500gb one ...

Get Seagate Momentus 7200.3 320 GB
The HDD is the slowest component of the system and a 7200 rpm HDD makes a lot of difference to the performance. Check the review above and you'll see what i'm talking about.
In case you run out of space you can always buy an external HDD later.

^^^ Thanks ... I'll surely consider that option.

Can you help me with another issue (offtopic, though)

For a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.4 GHz / 1066 FSB) , which one would be better ? - 4 GB DDR2 RAM or 3 GB DDR3 RAM ???
