Recieving Cellphone from USA

Hey,
My brother wants to send me an USED cellphone from US. We will be using USPS for the same.

I wanted to ask a few questions:-

1. Is it allowed to receive cellphones from foreign countries via Air?
2. Are there any chances of it getting caught in the customs?
3. Should we declare the product and value it originally or should we undervalue it?
4. What are the chances of the cellphone being confiscated by the custom authorities?

It would be of great help if someone could answer and guide me through the process.

Hi

1. Unless it is a quadband phone, you may not be able to use it everywhere in India as the frequencies in USA are different. First check that out.

2. A used phone could be brought as an accompanied baggage
