Rate this PC config

Hi all,

I am planning to build a new machine (gaming cum multimedia )

I have been doing some research and I have zeroed in on this config...

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890GX HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
OR
Asus M4N98TD
4GB DDR3 1333MHZ


What I want is you rate it.
I have heard good things about this components, you tell me bad things !!

I could not decide about any GPU so please tell me some good ones upto 10k

Don't go for asus motherboards, they have many problems. Better go for MSI 890GXM G65 @ 7k and use the lower price to go for MSI GTX 460 1GB @ 13.5k

btw if you want to overclock, AMD phenom ii x6 1055t is a much better option at just Rs 500 more

What problems with asus ? can you please elaborate ?
I saw the MSI mobo, looks great n if its in the same price range then i will give it a priority ...

why not 965 ? its not good ?

i5 760 is a better option
please tell your whole budget and the hardware you need so that we can suggest you a good config.

1055t is a lot better value for money than 965 because at just rs500 more you get 2 more cores with great overclocking capability. People here are running it at 3.4 GHz on stock cooler. As for asus motherboards other people here have faced numerous problems and their RMA is very bad.

For Gaming: i5 7*0 all the way.
Gaming on a slightly low budget or with no immediate in vestment in graphics card: Phenom II X4 955 (965 cost 1k more just for 200Mhz extra. please use your OC skills a bit).
Gaming on a moderate budget: Athlon II X4 & X3.
