Hello Friends....
this is my first post..so if any error then pls tell...
My problem is....i have IBM 2GB(2*1GB) PC2 3200 CL3 ECC SDRAM RDIMM 1.8V 3-3-3....
and i am going to purchase a new system with 2*1GB DDR2 667Mhz RAM....
My question is can i use both in one motherboard which have 4 DIMM slots(DDR2)..
Secondly will all 4 run on individual speeds...
Thirdly what does 3-3-3 and 1.8v means????
Thanks in Advance

I mean can i use all 4 DDR2 RAM chips and would be wise to use it or not???

then ull be able to use it, but all sticks will be running at 400 Mhz even if u use 667 Mgz new DDr2 memories.

I suggest either u keep the older PC 3200 DDR2 1GB 400 Mhz or a brand new 1Gb DDR2 667 Mhz or 800 Mhz.

Get transcent DDR2 667 1Gb for 1.6k or Transcent DDR2 1G 800 for 1.9k.
The latter is better nd has greater value for money. U can opt for Kingston also if transcent is not available.
