So right now I have a 500W UPS or Uninterrupted Power Supply from 'American Power Conservation' to provide backup power for a few mins on my old PC which has a 500W SMPS as well.
Shortly I'll be moving onto a new gaming PC with 620W SMPS in a few days & I just wanna know if having that same 500W UPS on a PC with 620W SMPS will cause me any problems or not while heavy gaming? Will it get overloaded or something while running my system on full load for few hours?? And will it give me enough time (say 1-2 mins) to shut down my PC when power goes out?
I just need my UPS to shut down my system properly in case of load-shedding & power outages, which are rather quite frequent during summer times. I need only maybe a minute or two to shut down the game I'm playing & turn my system off from windows! That's all I need a UPS for & right now I'm very short on money right now to buy a brand new UPS unless it's absolutely needed & the current 500W one won't suffice!!!
