Putting together a quiet PC for web browsing

Hi!

I am putting together a new system.

Purpose - Web browsing mainly. would like a quiet PC, good display, keyboard, mouse etc. Will also watch movies, music.

Budget - around 40K (can stretch a bit)
Location - Bangalore

I plan for the following system:

CPU AMD ATHLON 64 X2 3600+ AM2 Dual Core Processor 2590
Mother Boards MSI K9N6SGM - V 2800
Hard Disk 160 GB Serial ATA Seagate 2250
RAM (Memory) 1 GB DDR2 677 MHz (Trancend) 1650
Floppy Drives Sony Black FDD 280

Key Boards TVSE Gold Keyboard -PS/2(Black) 1200
Mouse Logitech Optical Black Mouse 390

The above is from computer warehouse bangalore and the MOBO, Cabinet is limited to what is available at this store. All prices are before taxes.

My questions:
(1) Any comments on the above setup.
(2) Any better choices for MOBO (ATX rather than micro ATX)
(3) Any alternatives to computer warehouse in bangalore with good service / return policy (I do not mind paying bit more for good service)
(4) Any suggestions on where I can get speakers and peripherals like mouse, keyboards. Does Rashi peripherals have a retail outlet (I have called and emailed them - but they have not got back)

My suggestions:
(1.)go for configuration based on intel's core 2 duo processors
(2.)Instead of 160gb hard disk go for 250gb or 320gb as the price difference is only Rs.500-700.

u will never need a floppy drive (200 bux wasted )

also ur config does not address d noise issue

it will make as much noise as any other computer

if u seriously wan a quiet computer, den u must seriously considr going 4 water cooling 2 cool ur CPU+GPU

change the mobo to
ASUS M2NPV-MX 'coz it has true 16x PCI-ex port...while urs have 8x

ATP is around 2800
Also Logitch has similar mouse in that price range with tilt wheel function and 1000 DPI, callled LOGITECH OPTICAL MOUSE USB.
I'm using it.

For saving money, buy ne cabinet, avoid Intex, and use the tricks given it June'o7 DIGIT.
If u don't have the copy, I'll tell u them.

Look for Antec cabinets.They are a bit heavy on pocket,but they reduce system noise.Ya & also read the guide "silence ur pc" in Digit's anniversary issue.

go for a usb storage device instead of a floppy drive
