Want to buy a processor in 8k. Planning to change my cabinet(FULL).
If possible plz tell me full specs for the Cabinet in 17k budget.
I already have DVD writer and HDDs so dont include it in cabinet.

I'll be using it for my college work(IT) and a little bit gaming

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: College work(IT) and a little bit gaming.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 17k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: NO

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows (But i already own a wind 8 so don't include og cd in it)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 2 or 3

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: NO

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: DVD Writer , HDD, LCD, Speakers

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: This week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes by myself

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Lamington Road

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:

Please specify clearly your budget and requirements for specific hardware.OK. Not just some CPU and full cabinet will surmise.OK.
Posted. Plz help ASAP as i want to buy it within a week.

AMD FX 6300 -7500,
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 -5800,
Corsair vengeance 4GB 1600MHz -2500,
Corsair 200R -3500.
TOTAL -19300.
This is the best you can get but don't you need a GPU as the above Config should have GPU to run and function.OK.

The above specified components are good and will last for 3-4 years and if you can extend your budget then You can get HD7750 at 7000.OK.
PS: Wait for other TDF members to give their respective suggestions...

> where?

> Why are you suggesting this config when you know adding a GPU will make the cost totally out of budget? You also missed the PSU.

@OP, this is my suggestion:

i3 3220 (7500)
Gigabyte B75M DH3 (4500)
Kingston HyperX Blu 1600 MHz 4 GB (2250) Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 4 GB PC RAM (KHX1600C9D3B1/4G) - Kingston: Flipkart.com
Antec VP450P (2600)
local cabinet (1000)

total: 17,950

I think you can easily all 950 bucks more :)

+1 to this config but a good cabinet is always better in the long run to keep the components cool and also gives the advantage of good cable management.

FX 6300 is better than i3 3220. But, a 6300 config will be much expensive than the Intel config I've mentioned. The motherboard will be slightly more expensive and you'll need a graphic card too as there's no IGP on FX 6300. If you can increase budget, maybe by delaying the purchase then it's good else, stick with the Intel config I've suggested :)

Antec vp450p is much better than vs 450

Corsair VS series are of entry line and uses low quality components inside.
