problem with lite-on DVD writer

I purchased Lite-On DVD writer(LH-20A1-20X) 2 weeks ago by seeing it on the digits A-list.
The Dual layer DVD of this month's Digit(even the last year one) is not recognised by it and each and every other single layer DVD (Which i had) are played in it.
I thought that it was problem of DVD of digit
But I was wrong as it played in my friend's LG DVD ROM.
I went to xchange the DVD writer and i did it but still it doesn't solve the problem.Plz help me.

simple all u hv 2 do is to dwload the firmware 4m urs company`s site and u will have 2 flash ur drive by the dwloaded utilities. Whats ur drive?
