Problem with Autorun Disks

Hi All,
I have LITE-ON SHM-165H6S DVD writer. My problem is that CDs or DVDs do't autorun. Also if try to open any (exe) file directely from cd or dvd a message " This is not a valid 32 bit application" appears.But if i copy same file on hard disk then there s no prob. Plz help me

This is not problem with any perticular disk( whether new or old)

Repairing your windows means re-installing files from the CD. But the problem could be solved b4 you do this. Did u try accessing other files (other than exe) directly from the drive? Please give your config also...

u can also try one thing!

Just remove the CD drive from Device manager and restart the computer, after restarting windows will automatically detect the drive again!

coz I think ur CD drive drivers got corrupted!

If you have XP Genuine CD then you can repair it.
