Problem installing windows vista.

I have a PC with intel core 2 duo 2.4Ghz , 4GB DDR2 800mhz (2X2)ram , intel 965 DGRY board, 550W VIP Gold SMPS, XFX 8800GTS 512MB XXX Alpha Dog Edition Gpu, Whenever i try to install windows vista with 4 Gb ram it takes around 15 hours to complete the installation. But when I remove one ram(2Gb) from the slot the installation takes around 30-45 minutes. Can anyone tell me what is the problem. i want the same installation performance with 4 gb ram. Please help..............

Are you installing a 32-bit version of Vista?

Install from boot then your installation time will be reduced.

But when I remove one ram(2Gb) from the slot the installation takes around 30-45 minutes. Can anyone tell me what is the problem. i want the same installation performance with 4 gb ram. m install on bootable DVD and also in windows. but can't understand what is problem Please help..............
