Hi..

I am using BSNL broadband connection.. I am unable to connect to LAN though the wireless network connects. There is no indication on my ethernet port when i plug in the LAN cable. I continue to get the message as "network cable unpugged".

On the same laptop, i am able to connect to LAN using AIRTEL and SIFY broad band services.

I have the following network cards installed on my system:
Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Mobile Connection
Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter.

Am i missing any network cards which is the reason for me not being able to connect to the LAN?

Can someone please guide me with this issue..?
Thanks..

If your Lan port work properly, as far as I understand your problem, try with a different Lan cable.

Dunno about ur Wificard if its broken or not but ur lan card is alright 4 sure coz u access broadband with that.

So wat u gotta do is 2 change ur internet protocol settings of lan connection n than ur gud to go. Try it as 192.168.0.1 for one com] n 192.168.0.2 for the second computer if ur setting a home connection.

This should help n rest u can google it coz i am not in a mood to give u a full tutorial.

Peace~~~!
