Hi,
My uncle offered to get me a 7900GS when he comes back (in abt a week) from Singapore.
Problem is that I have a 300W smps (19A 12V rail). The PC is an HP one so I know it is reliable but is the power enough for such a card?

The PC config is
P4- 630 (3 GHz, 800MHz FSB)
2x512mb GB DDR II 400Mhz RAM
1 cd rom drive (which can be disabled if necessary)
1 DVD RW drive
2 USB printers (Laser and inkjet)

Also, if the power is not enough, will at least an X1600 or GF-7600GT run?
Thanks

No pain....No gain
For the 7600gt the power supplied by the PCI-E slot (75W) is sufficient but for the 7900gs u need more than 75W so it requires an extra power connector. I would suggest that at minimum u get an ANTEC 350-400W.

As u have a Pentium4 630 CPU ,i seriously advice u to change ur PSU .. a min. of 350W with 22A across 12V (preferably dual) ... i can suggest an Antec PSU , check out the new Basiq lineup ...

OK, so the 7600GT it is.
I can't upgrade my power as my comp was given by the company, but i'll try and get more RAM.
Thanks a lot guys.
