Computer Empire is a good choice ... but u should also compare rates from Cost-2-Cost Computers and if interested in AMD then u should go for the AMD distributer in Nehru Place for Processor and Mother Board. I dont rem the name of the Shop but its on the left of Computer Empire around 10-12 shops ahead. I got Proc, MB and cabinet from AMD Dealer, DVD RW and Speakers from Cost2cost and rest from Computer Empire.

transcend 2Gb reduced to 750/- that's splendid, where'd u get it from.

got it from Computer Empire, Nehru Place, Delhi

4GB is of 1500/-

Got The following Confg:

4. 2GB Twinmos RAM (2x1GB @ 533 Mhz - Anything above just not available, man)
5. Zebronics Diamond series 540W SMPS With LED fan
6. Zebronics "Bijli" Cabinet(Great sturdy cabinet-I dint go for screwless coz the attachments of screwless cabinets found in India go bad after some time. It has a wire mesh front so no problems with airflow!)
7. Hitachi 250GB HDD
8. Sony DVD-Multi Format drive
9. Creative Inspire 6060 5.1 Speakers
10. Samsung 940BW Widescreen(4ms response time, supports 1440x900@75Hz)
The dealer also gave me the following stuff free as a part of his "Gaming PC Offer":
1. Logitech Wheel with force feedback.
2. 1GB Thumb Drive
3. Zeby illuminated mousepad-looks awesome in the dark-Doubles up a passive USB port(2 USB ports on the pad as well)


The dealer was awesome. Knew his stuff and came with great recommendations( actually good ones) when I did not get the components of my choice or the price was skyrocketing. His name: Vikas. His store: Platinum Infotech, 108 Kundan House, Nehru Place, New Delhi.

Cost- The system cost me an arm and a leg, I am saving my kidney for the upgrade to 800Mhz ram as and when it becomes avail. Immediate short term upgrade goals: Razer Copperhead Mouse and Zalman CPU cooler(Friends in the US have to help here). I've quoted the prices only for the mobo and vga card as those are the only two things where other dealers can murder you. I beleive I got great deals on both. The motherboard is unfortunately not All-solid state but the vga card is!

You are welcome and if others could also contribute then it would be very helpful for people in kolkata as some products are really hard to find. Anyhow does someone know any Gigabyte dealer........I want to buy GIGABYTE 3D AURORA 570 chassis.
