Good news:
1. The laptop (purchased on behalf of my son-in-law) is working great; great interior, but I don't like the glossy shell.
2. I now have a total of 12 GB RAM and plan to use half of it as RAM Disk, although I haven't installed the new sticks yet.
3. The Mouse Mat has solved my long-standing problem of restricted playground for the mouse. A very good surface too.
Bad News:
1. The Mic, my sole purpose of buying the headset, is simply trash! Even set to maximum, the recording level is so low it's absolutely useless for my purpose (Dragon NaturallySpeaking). Alas, I could not find my target stand-alone mic by Labtec. I just gambled with Creative, which misfired! I guess my limited budget of Rs. 1K is too small for the purpose. The headphone is so so, but that's inconsequential because I already have a pretty high quality Sony headphone (without mic, that is).
