@s0rdfish : hey jus outta curiosity wat diff does it make in opting for any 1 of the aforementioned Gigabyte or for tht matter any AM3 MoBo?I mean does it affect the system's performance if a guy is opting for 790/880/890?Will some1 really get a boost-up using 890 n not 790?
I was n still ignorant of the fact,rather dun c the point!!Care to shed some light on this topic?

if you game on IGP, than shifting from HD3300 (790GX) to HD4290 890GX) will feel like nothing. both are basically the same.

Rightly said.. And blue ray or hd content playing is a piece of cake for both the igps.. But in 890 chipset, you get sata3 n usb3 which is missing in 790gx..

^^so its basically the hardware thats different!!Lets say 1 uses discreet GPU n pretty much happy with USB2 then the guy can easliy go for a 790(or for that matter 740)chipset..am i correct in assuming tht?

^ yes! bt they must be improve south bridge & north bridge technically little bit.... in higher version of a chipset

thanks. the price was around 3k a month ago, slowly came to 2.7k. was expecting 2.5k but ended up paying 2.7k (mom paid, her mobile). but the damn package didn't included a data cable. well looks like i expected too much for that price

Can't really say about the sound quality till the burn in period is over. As of now it sounds muffled, Bass lacks punch. Prior to this, I've used Philips SHE 9501, which I find comparatively better as of now.

Ex 57 is very small and light, easily fits into ear, unlike Philips, Which you need to force into ear. Noise Isolation is good.

Last night used EX57 for 8hrs straight, very comfortable for long use I must say.

Let me wait till the burn-in time is finished, then I'll compare it again.
