harddisk :- Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB @ 2.4k
graphics card :- Sapphire HD5670 512MB GDDR5 @ 5.5k
psu :- Gigabyte 80 Plus Active PFC 460W @ 2.2k
cabinet :- cooler master elite 310 @ 1.5k
dvd :- LG 22x DVD sata @ 1.1k
monitor :- BenQ 22" G2220 FULL HD LCD Monitor @ 8k
speakers :- Altec Lansing BXR1121 2.1 @ 1.1k
peripherals :- Logitech keyboard(0.4k) + mouse(0.2k) @ 0.6k
UPS :- APC UPS 650va @ 2.2k

total :- 41.6k + 1.4k = 43k(including tax and vat)

assembled it from nehru place.... a number of shops....

I bought many cheap spike protector.
But all failed.
I got same problem for each one.
I got current(phase) at the earthing point of spike protector.
But at my main switch the earthing is OK.....
PC working fine when I connected it to main switch.
What may be the reason spike protector or electrical fault ?

If your PC works fine when connected directly to mains(By working fine here means no shocks to the metal chassis) then the problem lies in the spike guard. Maybe get a Belkin. Will be costly but its worth it.

Well, its good that you live in NewDelhi. Here in hyderabad if I go and ask for CoolMaster the shop wala starts wondering about a cooler. Only few of them have limited stocks that too have to be ordered... I guess costs in hyderabad are also more... PC market sucks at hyderabad man!

BTW I've recently upgraded my PC's PSU cabinet gfx RAM etc... would it be nice if I upgrade my MOBO? I hate nforce650i and I donno how i ended up purchasing Asus P5n E SLI. I don't even want to use SLI. Prolly coz that was the only mobo at the shop which supported E8400+ a year back.
So guys should I upgrade my MOBO? and if yes .. to what? I don't want SLI or Xfire!
