if you consider that the motherboard is the platform on which you build your complete system, the price is quite justified.
that 31k motherboard will outlast the CPU and the GPU and the RAM. And it will stay relevant for the next 5-6 years, pulling all the components without breaking a sweat.

Re my system upgrade: Thanks to all of you guys for your encouraging comments.

Re: anirbandd (1st post) and CyberKID - It is not a new build but just an upgrade, as I have mentioned in the intro, and I have only replaced or added (an SSD) the components I listed. As for the GPU, you can see in my siggy I already have a GPU, albeit an ancient one, sufficiently powerful for my purposes nevertheless. And yes, I am a non-gamer.

Re: anirbandd (2nd post) - Thanks for your support re the expensive motherboard, as I have exactly the same idea that you hold.

Thanks again folks!

Bought Dell KB212 keyboard from Flipkart for Rs. 484 (including shipping).

Initial impressions:
1. Good build and finish, should last for some time.
2. Lacks decent tactile feedback.
3. Overall an average keyboard for touch typing.

Sorry for late response.

Supposed to be 10 hours of backup after 2-3 hours of charging. But since we don't listen to it at 10 hours at a go, it seems to last for 3-4 days before needing charge. (we charge whenever it hits 10%)

Sorry for late response.

They are very nicely heard. The deeper tones shake the table its kept on on anything higher than medium volumes.

The quotes in my "reply with quote" seems to have vanished!

What Special on this? Any reason to buy?
Update with price?

yes. it is an HMT classic piece.

simple, elegant, beautiful. highly robust build quality, like those old, high quality made in india machines, which last for ages. just remember to wind it up everyday.

if IIRC, it has a continuous second's hand movement.

there is plenty of "new old stock" sold as salvaged parts cobbled together to make Frankenstein watches, this is actually not so hard to find. You may never know if the old watches have parts switched with functionally the same watches, these are more expensive but better than "hmt pilot" on olx

you can identify from the weight. The real ones are heavier. the lettering on the casing is narrowly machined, you can just see this also. there is also one other thing about hmt watches, it is very obvious if someone points it out, but you need to spend some time with it alone to get it on your own

no other watch in the world gives you that thing

It's not national pride. It is not sentiment. There is something physical and tangible that you ****s wont notice.

12 circles. I think of it as a holy ritual.

actually, I wanted this so bad, I can write a self help book on just getting it
it was magical, as if cells on my skin magnetically conjured that watch

I was always very punctual till I got this watch.
Now I just look at the dial and don't need to go anywhere.

Congrats...but

Reviews looks not so good...Why you go for it ? any other reason ?

Don't know about the reviews at flipkart but my friend bought exactly this laptop (Diff. was 4GB vs 8Gb RAM). Build quality also very good. Reason for going for Lenovo because I already bought Dell Inspiron 5588 lappy for my father few months ago.
