C270 is gr8 and I don't need auto-focus....and I was going for a low end model (XVGA recording) for a webcam & not HD.

I had bought C310 in diwali for 200Rs extra ....its great

C310 also has Fixed Focus

Both actually, to be very generic. BTW dont diss fixed focus, fixed focus is a rather neat approximation of the finicky auto focus in cameras without any of the associated overhead or focus hunting.

That being said, a manual focus ring is necessary if the manufacturer has goofed up the settings..
