Possible to play PS2 games on PC ????

guys...i have searched on google...about the topic...and it says...that it's possible to play PS1 or PS2 games on PC platform.....But i m ttally confused...

Would u guys plz ..tell me is that possible..and what are the software which r needed....??

Yes its possible.But its toooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow for ps2.I hope with the word toooooooooooo makes it clear.Also its illegal if u don't own the ps2 and the game.U can google for ps2 pcsx2 emulator download.nsx2 is also an emulator but it did not work for me.I think the latest version for pcsx2 is 8.x.Also for pcsx2 u need a bios which u will have to dump from ur original ps2.I have tried pcsx2 and it worked for me(Resident Evil 4) but it was toooooooooo slow.
Recommended config-
Atleast-Geforce 7600Gt SLI
Pentium 4 3.2GHz or Amd ATHLON 64bit equivalent(Athlon XP will do but does not support SSE2/3/4)
1 GB ram.

yup...its unplayable! had tried BF2 on an emulator......the loading screen took abt 20 min to go & game was unplayable..

^^thats because the games are specially made/programmed to work on that specific configuration.......................
ofcourse games look way better on pc.........eg: GTA :SA, Resident Evil 4 (after patching, otherwise totally bogus gfx) etc

visit pcsx2[dot]net and u can see there Compatibility for which Ps2 game u can run on ur pcsx2 emulator
