Portable Hard Drive

Need a portable USB hard drive which has a REALLY SMALL FORM FACTOR.

Can someone advice which is the smallest of the lot? Capacity is not a problem.
Anything close to 40GB or more will do. But it must be hard drive based and not
a flash pen-drive, and must be really really small!

u can get a laptop hard disk in an external 3.5" case. the size is approx that of a credit card and about 1/2 and inch thick

40 GB - rs. 2.2k
80 GB - rs 2.7k

Is 3.5" the smallest available? Or are 2.5" casings also available?

2.5" casings aren't available since a laptop hdd wouldn't fint inside it (they're 3.5"). if u want yet smaller ones, u can get branded portable hdds (not the laptop hdd in case type). they'll be much more expensive.

@choto_cheeta : yes, thats exactly what i was referring to. i got a 80gb hdd for 2.4k and the external case (Zippys) for rs200. total rs 2.6k

But we all know a laptop hdd fits inside a 2.5" portable drive

The regular hdds require 3.5" drive.

oh sorry! the casing i'm talking about is 2.5". got confused and checked on the casing. its a 2.5" external case wth a laptop hdd inside
