Please suggest good 2.0 desktop speaker

Can you suggest a good 2.0 desktop speakers for my new desktop? I am looking for music quality, rather than loudness. Preferably a powered speaker with 3.5 pin.
Budget - 1000, can be stretched to 1500 max.

if you consider yourself true audiophile who can not withstand mp3 & only downloads FLAC files & can tell the difference between a 320kbps mp3 & 128kbps mp3 playing on an avg budget earphone(read ~1500) then see high-fidelity's reply above.else get any decent 2.1/2.0 speaker system.

Yes Swans D1080MK2 08 but it will cost you approx. 14k. It has fully wood body, bigger drivers, coming from world class loudspeaker manufacturer brand.

^For god sake, do you know any other speaker system existing in this world? OP is ready to uplift his budget doesn't means you suggest him a solution of 14k against 2k.

Edifiers are quite musical in this range but no idea on f&d but it has good reviews overall. Try to audition first & the take your decision.

i don't have much info about 2.0 speakers at this low price but i think it is hard to get good or even decent 2.0 speakers for 1500.you can get a decent 2.1 system though for ~1500 or you can get earphones & at this price they will be better sounding than any speaker system you can buy at this price.
