Hi I am building a brand new gaming rig after 8 long years..I am coming from a Core 2 Duo E8400, Radeon HD4770 *linustechtips.com/main/uploads/emoticons/rolleyes.gif. Max Budget is 1 lac.

Here's my build:
Intel i5-6600k
Gigabyte Z170-D3H
Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming GTX 1070
Seagate Firecuda SSHD 2TB
Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GBx2 2400Mhz
Seasonic S12II-620W
LG 24MP88HM (IPS and borderless...*linustechtips.com/main/uploads/emoticons/wub.png)
Antec GX505 (Personally I love its look!!)

I am gonna be gaming at 1080p 60 Hz ( This will increase the useful for keeping it GTX 1070 for the long run) at Ultra/High settings @ >=60 fps for the coming 4-5 years. I am not gonna overclocking early on but during the later stages. I wanted to know if GTX 1070 is good choice for upcoming DirectX 12 titles as I cant wait for whatever AMD Vega is offering. It will take probably another 6-8 months to reach here and the price will be way above GTX 1070.

Please rate my build and its compatibility and let me know if there is any incompatibility or problem with the build and if the SMPS is more than enough at full load.

Please suggest a good ,affordable and durable mouse and keyboard combo to go with this.

Budget -110.5K ( Skylake OC + Gaming RIG)

Intel Core i5 6600K -18000,
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming -14500,
Cooler Master Hyper 212X -3000,
Sapphire RX480 8GB Nitro+ OC -22500,
Seagate Firecuda SSHD 2TB -6000,
Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD -7000,
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB(8GBx2) 2400Mhz -7000,
Seasonic M12II 750w -9000,
LG 24MP88HM 24" LED IPS -14500,
Deepcool Dukase V2 -5000,
Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite Combo -5500.
Total -1,12,000.

All above components have 3 years warranty except RAM which has 10 years warranty & PSU which has 5 years warranty & Cabinet which has 2 years warranty.

Since you are gaming on 1080p resolution, GTX1070 8GB is a overkill and not at all recommended. GTX1070 8GB is also more costly and exceeds your budget by another 18K.

AMD Polaris, ie.RX480 8GB which is comparable to GTX1060 6GB is a DirectX 12 & Vulkan based GPU where it has support for above both and Async Compute on the hardware level itself.

Nvidia provides support to Vulkan using software only and it is DirectX 11 games based GPU.

Before the AMD ReLive Driver update in December,2016, nvidia used to give best fps only in DirectX 11 games but now after the ReLive update RX480 8GB is thrashing GTX1060 6GB in both DirectX 11 & 12 based games by giving more fps with considerable margin over GTX1060.

PS: If OP has budget for GTX1070, he can go with it...
Anytime RX480 is no match for GTX1070...

Stay with GTX 1070 rather than RX480. RX480 can only compete with 1060 and not 1070. If you have the budget/option to buy 1070, stay with that.

If you wanna go into Red group and dont want to change card for 4-5 years then there is no option but to wait for Vega.

Though budget wise I think 1070 will cause you to extend it. I think the build above is well balanced.

Stop recommending RX480 instead of GTX 1070
