Planning to buy new system. Please suggest best configuration for AMD and Intel

Ans: for programming and basic use. Going to install Oracle 11g and Java

Ans:windows xp or any other stable OS

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 18-20" any model

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: speaker, mouse

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:as i get proper config

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: will be done by assembler

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:Bangalore, No

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I can go for AMD also. System should not be outdated at least in 5 years

This is a much better and more powerful configuration over an Intel based i3 anyday. If you want to add a GPU later on then buy a Antec VP450P PSU along with this config.If not stick with this.

Moreover Unlike the Intel which is Dual Core the AMD based config is True QuadCore with a very powerful GPU integrated in the processor.This will last sometime over the Intel.

@The Incinerator are you sure tosibha hd have 3year warranty? i heard it is for external hd.and some its 2year and some 5years.

+1 for this config . It has the worlds fastest iGPU and a true quad core makes it better than i3 .

With the config suggested by Incinerator, try opting for a ram with higher clock like 1866mhz. It makes a performance difference in iGPUs.
