pendrive write protection removal

I have sandisk cruzer blade 8 GB pen drive.

whenever I go to copy files from my computer to it, it gives me message
" The disk is write protected. remove write protection first."

How should I remove it. I tried it at my own , but unable to see any write protection removal option in "Properties"

1. Insert the pen drive and then open the Start Menu
2. Run, type regedit and press Enter; this will open the registry editor
3. Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

4. Double click the key WriteProtect in the right panel and set the value to 0 In the Value Data Box. Press OK
5. Exit Registry
6. Restart your computer and re-connect your USB pen drive on your computer.

everything goes well till "Control" but thereafter "Storage device policies" does not appear only "storage" appears. I use windows 7 professional licensed version.
